As a freelancer I worked on many exciting projects including: AIWA, designing their newsletter and their corporate collateral materials; Austin Nicols, Inc, designing marketing material and promotions for Pernod liquor, Jacob’s Creek wines and J&B scotch. I spent many wonderful hours designing books and book covers for Turner Publishing and contracting with Time Warner Publishing as a designer for their editorial pages of Fortune and Time magazines. In 1998 I took a full time position as a senior graphic designer for Time Warner’s Fortune magazine. Working on Fortune I became an expert at publication design and layout as well as chart design and illustrations. During my time working for Fortune I also maintained my freelance practice serving JBL, Ocean Spray, Parke Davis and Farberware. I was married in 2000 and moved to Brookline, MA where I freelanced for Inc. magazine and also designed children’s hardcover books for Candlewick Press before moving to the “burbs” when our second daughter was born in 2003. In between being a wife and mom, raising my two beautiful daughters, I still freelance (graphic design is in my blood!) developing icons for Omtool, a software company in New Hampshire, designing the logo and corporate collateral for e-Healthcare Solutions, a network of health care web sites, and creating the corporate collateral and catalogs for Top It Off Accessories, a wholesale apparel company. Besides graphic design and my family, I love reading, learning to play tennis, occasionally playing nine holes of golf with my husband and going out to our favorite sushi place for dinner (Fugakyu in Sudbury and Brookline). I am a passionate graphic designer who grew up near sunny Buffalo, NY and graduated from Syracuse University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts. After graduating with honors, I moved to NYC where I continued with post-graduate studies in computer graphics/desktop publishing at the School of Visual Arts, along with beginning my exciting and rewarding design career.
